Loree’s Academy of Dance Studio Story

 

1981: Loree Russeau opens Loree’s Dance Academy in Genesee County. For forty years, Loree teaches dance and inspires many students.

2021: Hillary Adams becomes the new owner of Loree’s Dance Academy, now Loree’s Academy of Dance.

Where we’re going: We are growing and spreading the love of dance and movement to the community!

  • Loree Russeau

    FOUNDER

    Loree Russeau began her dance training in various forms of dance at the age of 5 years old. Loree graduated from University of Michigan Ann Arbor with emphasis in Education, Dance, Fitness, and Health & Wellness. In 1981, she founded Loree’s Dance Academy in Genesee County where she taught and inspired many students with her love of dance.

    Over the years, Loree’s students have been awarded scholarships to many art schools and universities all over the country including: Joffrey Ballet, ABT, Point Park College, Columbia University, Interlochen Arts Academy, Steps, Broadway Dance Center, PEridance Capezio Center, Miss America Scholarship Program & the world famous Radio City Rockettes!

    In 2021, Loree “passed the pointe shoes” to Hillary Trinckle as the new owner of Loree’s Academy of Dance. Loree continues to travel back to Michigan to choreograph dance numbers and support the dancers!

    OWNER & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

    Hillary grew up dancing at Loree’s Dance Academy at the young age of three! Loree’s Dance Academy was the studio she learned to love dance in and the place that she called home, and in the spring of 2021, Hillary took a big leap and became the new owner of Loree’s Academy of Dance!

  • Madelyn Slattery

    DANCE INSTRUCTOR & CHOREOGRAPHER

    Madelyn began her dance training at Loree’s Dance Academy when she was just 4 years old. She studied under the direction of Loree Russeau and Hillary Trinckle and traveled to several Dance Theater USA programs in Orlando, Florida, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

    Madelyn is a 2020 graduate of the University of Michigan-Flint where she studied Dance and Entrepreneurship. She is certified in Giordano Jazz. Madelyn continues to teach dance at Loree’s Academy of Dance and to high school students outside of the studio at local musical productions at Grand Blanc High School as the lead choreographer.
